This is the news we really hoped we did not have to deliver, again.
Following the announcement from the NSW Government yesterday (23 June) of further restrictions for Greater Sydney, we are confirming that The Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon presented by Bupa Dental can no longer take place this Sunday 27 June.
This is not the outcome any of us wanted, but ultimately, the health and well-being of our athletes, volunteers, partners, community, and staff is our primary concern.
All registered runners have been sent an email explaining their options. If you did not receive this, or have any questions, please contact us on halfmarathon@ironman.com.
In what has been a continually evolving and challenging time, we recognise that this news will come as a disappointment to all of you who have trained so hard and have been looking forward to the being part of an event again. We hope we will see you all back on Sunday 15 May 2022.
